Powder Coating Operator

A well-established custom metal fabrication manufacturer is hiring a Powder Coating Operator to join its production team. This is a great opportunity to work in a clean, safety-focused manufacturing environment where quality craftsmanship is valued and every project is unique.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity. In this role, you'll prepare, coat, and inspect fabricated metal parts while ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, plugging, and performing surface preparation.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, booths, and curing ovens.
• Load and unload parts from racks and production lines.
• Read and follow work orders, drawings, and finish specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, appearance, coverage, and adhesion.
• Rework parts as needed to meet quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of powder coating or industrial finishing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and production documentation.
• Comfortable using hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with/without accommodation.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

Pay: $20-23/hr depending on experience

Location: Hillsboro, OR – must have reliable transportation
