Join us at Crowe and embark on a career where you can help shape the future of our industry.Job Description:Crowe's Performance Improvement practice helps clients significantly improve their profitability by:Solving supply chain, procurement / sourcing, supplier management / development, and operational challenges;Developing an executable improvement plan and aligning stakeholders;Quantifying the financial value associated with implementing the improvements; andPartnering with our clients to drive value capture (e.g., we deliver bottom-line results, not PowerPoint presentations).We need more Supply Chain Senior Consultant(s) to lead aspects of our strategic sourcing engagements, including helping to shape global supply strategies, build category strategies, lead competitive sourcing initiatives, and support procurement transformations, logistics, and operational excellence engagements.Our delivery model relies on our Sr. Consultants' capabilities to assume ownership for solving tough sourcing, logistics, or operational challenges. To accomplish this, our Sr. Consultants are only responsible for working on one client challenge at a time - fully dedicating their focus to leading and driving an operational and financial result in their area of ownership; working mostly independently. To be effective, our teams work on site with our clients; as such, this position requires your ability to travel 95% of the time. To summarize, you need to be confident in your ability to independently drive results, and weekly travel cannot be an issue.Job duties include but are not limited to:Your primary focus would be supporting our strategic sourcing engagements, including:Supporting supply chain assessments:Conducting executive and front-line leader interviews and completing job observationsDeveloping a spend cube and performance analytics to shape category events and enable impact tracking (leveraging Power BI)Leading organizational sourcing and procurement maturity assessments to understand gaps and opportunities and develop improvement plansBuilding out detailed category sourcing strategies with clients to shape plans to improve commercial terms and improve alignment with suppliersFacilitating ideation workshops independently to gain alignment with stakeholders and refine strategies grounded in feedbackBuilding assessment reports and confidently presenting insights and strategies to executive leadersPost-assessment, leading a delivery workstream:Leading execution of three (3) to four (4) category strategies through final negotiations and award recommendationsLeading implementation of resulting supplier agreementsSupporting client optimization of sourcing and procurement organizational structures, policies, processes, and management practicesOur Supply Chain Sr. Consultants can also be assigned to logistics or operational consulting engagements from time to time when appropriate, which involve elements such as:Collaborating with our extended team and client(s) to assess, design, and implement broader operational and supply chain transformation projects for diverse industriesLeading execution of complex consulting value workstreams, providing operational, financial, and process analysis, strategy development, process reengineering, and modelingQualifications:Non-negotiable qualifications:Travel 95% of the time – Sunday through Thursday, more than 45 weeks a year (no flexibility on this)Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field required, or more than ten (10) years of professional field experienceMore than three (3) years of strategic sourcing experience – creating and executing category strategies independently, in industry or as a consultantLife skills vital for being qualified/successful in our practice:Personable and able to pass the airplane test – we work to lead and influence stakeholders in every aspect of our client engagements; as such, this is critical.Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to drive results independentlyAbility and interest in learning new skills quickly and oftenAbility to conduct analytics that generate insights versus pivot charts (including proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to ramp up on Power BI quickly)Ability to connect issues and opportunities back to clients' financialsAbility to say more with fewer words in your professional writingAbility to interact and present to all levels of the organization, including executive leaders weeklyWe expect the candidate to uphold Crowe's values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship. Crowe is not sponsoring for work authorization at this time.The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000.00 - $147,000.00 per year.
