Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring Forklift Operators in Toledo, OH for a well-known glass company. This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move materials throughout the facility while also assisting with production and packaging duties as needed. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, the flexibility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! Available Shifts: 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) Monday through Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to transport, load, unload, stage, and store raw materials and finished products in designated locations.
• Inspect assigned equipment daily, document inspection results, report needed repairs, and lock out/tag out any unsafe or inoperable equipment.
• Verify incoming product counts, accurately complete required documentation, and report any discrepancies or damaged shipments to the supervisor immediately.
• Accurately scan and record inventory transactions using handheld scanners and other warehouse systems.
• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate by verifying quantities and shipping the correct number of pieces according to load worksheets.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Support production operations by assisting with manufacturing tasks and packaging finished products according to quality standards.
• Perform quality inspections and report product or equipment issues to ensure production and shipping accuracy.
• Safely change propane tanks and replace or charge forklift batteries as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 2–3 years of recent forklift operating experience required.
• Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• This role requires good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
