Shop Helper – Transmissions (Aviation)Status: Non-ExemptLocation: Auburn, WashingtonSchedule: Monday-Friday, 5:55AM-2:30PM (40 hours/week), subject to overtimeSummaryThis position is primarily responsible for assisting shop technicians in cleaning, minor disassembly/assembly and preparation of aircraft parts. The position cross-trains in other departments and performs back-up driver duties. This position the ability to read/write/understand the English language, following directions, and work in various teamwork settings.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in testing, disassembling, inspecting, repairing and reassembly of aircraft components.Follow all company procedures and policies.Follow all safety and security policies and regulations.Back up department functions, cross-train in other departments and perform other duties as necessary.Report to work on a regular and consistent basis.Required Ability To:Be a reliable self-starter.Demonstrate the use of common hand toolsStand and work for long periods of time.Lift, move, push and pull up to fifty (50) lbs. on an occasional basis.Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in English.Build alliances, partnerships and collaborate with co-workers in a tactful, professional and respectful manner.
