Orange Park Imaging , is looking for a full-time MRI Tech . The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of complex, specialized, and technical tasks associated with the operation of high field strength magnets You’ll get to: Schedule patients for procedures; assist with clerical functions. Check patient orders to ensure order, diagnosis, exam scheduled, and authorization are appropriate for the exam. Perform exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards. Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure. Ability to research correct safety requirements on Mag Resources or current designated MRI safety site. Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of MRI scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed MRI safety procedures. Position patients for MRI scans using patient positioning devices and adjusts equipment, selecting proper protocol and sequences. Prepare and dispense oral and intravenous contrast media. Ensure equipment is in working order. Perform weekly ACR QA. Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor. What you will need to be successful: Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiologic technology. Minimum of two years’ experience in radiologic imaging modalities. One-year experience in magnetic resonance imaging preferred. Knowledge of radiologic procedures desirable. Licensed in the State of Florida. ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) or Nuclear Medicine (RT(N)). Current ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) preferred or must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment in position. BLS Certification. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Good computer and customer service skills a must.
