About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric Psych Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 18 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required in pediatric psychiatric nursing License: Required Certifications: BCLS, CPI Must-Have: - Verbal de-escalation skills - Experience with EPIC charting system - Ability to manage pediatric psychiatric patients Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Behavioral Health unit. The position consists of 12-hour day shifts. The nurse will be responsible for managing pediatric and adolescent patients aged 5-17. Patient diagnoses may include Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Self-harm tendencies, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The ideal candidate will have experience working with psychiatric patients and possess strong verbal de-escalation skills. There will be a patient ratio of 1:3. The role may require floating to other areas as needed. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. This position emphasizes behavioral health skills and nursing experience. Travelers will float within service lines as necessary. Certification courses for CPI are provided by the facility. All candidates must comply with health regulations regarding vaccinations.
