Computational Physicist for AI Model Training

Role Overview
Apply computational physics expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through detailed, real-world technical input. This remote contract opportunity is designed for STEM professionals who use AI coding agents as part of advanced computational problem-solving workflows. Prior AI experience is not required; deep domain expertise is the primary qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed walkthroughs of complex computational physics problem-solving using AI coding agents.
- Demonstrate agent-driven workflows with Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork, including navigating large codebases, debugging nuanced issues, and developing sophisticated features.
- Document the approaches, decisions, and methods used with AI agents for sequence generation, rather than chat-based tasks.
- Evaluate and explain workflows in which agentic tools supported architectural changes or resolved ambiguous computational challenges.
- Develop high-quality examples and technical feedback that inform AI model training.
- Communicate findings clearly and accurately through written documentation and verbal discussion.
Qualifications
- Advanced hands-on computational physics experience, including a record of technical problem-solving and research.
- Python proficiency.
- Demonstrable real-world use of Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
- Current or recent STEM experience using AI agents in technical workflows beyond basic coding support.
- Ability to explain complex, end-to-end technical solutions and the agentic tools used throughout the work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including detailed technical documentation.
- Experience creating agent-driven problem-solving sequences rather than relying on chat-based interactions.
- Familiarity with debugging, architectural change management, and development in large-scale code environments using AI tools.
