PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Developer

Salary: $112,000 - 152,000 per year Requirements:

• Seven or more years of experience in a technical PeopleSoft role involving analysis, configuration, programming, and administration.
• Five or more years of experience developing and troubleshooting with PeopleTools 8.5x or higher, including Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, BI Publisher, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker.
• Hands-on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience in higher education, including Academic Advisement (degree audit), Student Records, Enrollment, Class Schedule, and Campus Community.
• Experience developing Fluid user interfaces, including Fluid pages, Event Mapping, Page and Field Configurator, and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong SQL and Oracle database skills for analysis, debugging, and development.
• Experience with web services and integrations using Integration Broker, REST APIs, and JSON.
• Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, testing, and deployment, using source control and defect-tracking tools.
• Ability to document technical and business requirements, processes, and user support materials.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences, facilitating working sessions, and building effective working relationships.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Experience developing or implementing degree planning, schedule-building, or student self-service tools at a college or university.
• Preferred: Experience working in a multi-campus institution or community college district.
• Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and accessible user interface development.
• Preferred: Experience with upgrade-safe PeopleSoft customizations, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), and Selective Adoption.
• Preferred: Experience with reporting and analytics tools, including PS Query, BI Publisher, Pivot Grids, and data extracts.
• Preferred: Experience integrating PeopleSoft with academic advising platforms such as EAB Navigate.
• Preferred: Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Preferred: Experience working on federally funded projects.
• Preferred: PeopleSoft or related technology certifications.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy student planning tools within our existing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9 environment.
• Develop a degree planner and student schedule builder, and enhance the student self-service portal.
• Help students track academic progress, enable advisors to share and maintain student degree plans, and provide the district with reliable data on course demand and scheduling needs.
• Work with our SAILS project team and Academic Systems department to deliver the project objectives.
• Create a modern, intuitive, mobile-friendly user experience using upgrade-safe development practices that our staff can maintain after the engagement ends.

We at City Colleges of Chicago are seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Technical Developer through our staff augmentation vendors for a 12-month engagement, with a possible extension. The role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and is 100% remote; interviews are virtual.
