Material Handler

Warehouse Operations
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Organizes all saleable inventory within warehouse
- Operates heavy material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, dolly)
- Receives shipments and verifies receipts
- Housekeeping in branch (sweeping, cleaning, straightening as needed)
- Conduct inventory count at warehouse
- Loading and Unloading trucks with various equipment and by hand
- Offloads pallets from incoming shipments and stocks material in warehouse based on company procedures.
- Pull products for orders, wrap, strap, and seal for shipping to customers or other regionals.
- Reports any damaged inventory or discrepancies to supervisor.
- Works diligently to complete all daily transactions promptly.
- Handle and dispose of material waste as per company procedure.
- Able to handle machine repairs and cleaning after providing training.
Requirements
- Ability to lift or move heavy products
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, stand, sit and reach
- Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard warehouse equipment
- Ability to read and do basic math with the help of calculator.
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Monday to Friday 7 am to 3.30pm
