Database Management ContractorWe are seeking a skilled and self-driven Database Management Contractor to support our data infrastructure across multiple platforms, including MS SQL Server, AWS RDS MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Amazon Redshift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database development, performance tuning, monitoring, and migration projects, and will be comfortable working independently on mission-critical database tasks.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and optimize databases on AWS RDS MySQL/PostgreSQL and Amazon RedshiftManage and support MS SQL Server environments, including T-SQL scripting, SQL Agent jobs, and EC2-hosted instancesPerform data migration and transformation between MS SQL Server, RDS MySQL, and RedshiftMonitor database performance and health using tools like DatadogCollaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity, security, and availabilityDocument processes and provide recommendations for database improvementsRequired Skills & Experience:2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS RDS, MySQL, and Amazon Redshift (development, tuning, monitoring, maintenance)2+ years of experience with MS SQL Server technology, including T-SQL, SQL Agent jobs, and EC2Proven experience in database/data migration between MS SQL Server and AWS RDS/RedshiftFamiliarity with Datadog for monitoring and alertingStrong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications:AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty)Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automationKnowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines
