Utility Worker (I) Knoxville, TN, Knoxville, TN, US $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Must meet performance goals and measurements. Pay-out over 6 month period. Position Summary As a Utility Worker (I) at Fraley and Schilling, you will be responsible for performing various basic maintenance tasks in our shop. Your primary objective will be to uphold our core value of safety first while supporting our maintenance operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our equipment is well-maintained, clean, and ready for use, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our fleet. Assist with fueling trucks and other equipment to ensure readiness for operation. Support tractor and trailer inspections, ensuring that vehicles meet safety and operational standards. Perform routine cleaning duties in the shop and on trucks to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Prepare equipment for Orientation and reseating, ensuring it is in optimal condition for new drivers. Change tires on trucks and trailers as required. Drive company vehicles when necessary, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors or management. Education & Experience: Required: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Basic computer skills are necessary for job functions and record-keeping. Additional Information: This position may require physical effort, including lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing. Flexibility with work hours may be necessary to accommodate the needs of the shop and equipment.
