Automotive Technician

This position entails layout, wiring, and mounting of hydraulics, electronics, and PTO's on custom truck bodies. Working with hand and power tools daily to fabricate equipment.

Layout and mount hydraulics, electronics, and PTO's on custom truck bodies.

Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, and installation tasks.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues during production.

Six months experience in heavy installation, preferably on vehicles.

Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, electrical controls, and wiring.

Ability to use basic math for machine setup and operation.

Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

Capability to pick, push, and move objects up to 50 lbs.

Physical ability to bend, twist, carry, work overhead, kneel, crouch, and climb.

Must be able to stand on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes throughout the shift.

The work environment is a large open factory floor with dim lighting due to welding stations, equipped with large overhead cranes and good ventilation. Employees will be exposed to a heavy industrial atmosphere including grease, oil, heat, humidity, and occasionally cramped or wet conditions. Physical requirements include climbing ladders and using creepers under chassis.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. This is a fully onsite position in LAKE CRYSTAL, MN.
