Job Details

Our company is in search of a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Consulting Interim Controller to join our Accounting + Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise in non-profit accounting to a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial processes, ensuring the accuracy of our records, and leading our dedicated finance team. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations including, but not limited to, month-end close, review payroll and payroll related entries, accruals, budgets, and projections.
• Utilize Great Plains software for financial management and reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of the finance team to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Prepare and present financial reports and projections to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and assist in strategic planning.
• Manage the annual budgeting process, including the development of forecasts and financial models.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or MBA would be a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Non profit experience would be a huge plus
• Proven experience with month-end close, payroll and payroll-related entries, accruals, budgets, and projections.
• Proficiency in Great Plains software or equivalent financial management software.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and review the work of a team.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Knowledge of current financial regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
