Desired Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina Adaptive Curriculum Exceptional Children teaching license, or eligibility for a reciprocal license from another state
• School-based teaching experience preferred, though highly motivated new teachers are encouraged to apply

• Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative work style

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) targeting life skills and academic growth for exceptional children

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting independence and confidence
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student achievement
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Attend relevant IEP meetings, trainings, and school events as needed
