Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Post Partum

Schedule:
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Must work every other weekend.
- Must work every other major holiday.

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:
- Active RN license in Massachusetts (current or conditional)
- Current AHA BLS & NRP certification required
- Up to date resume reflecting at least 1 year of experience in Postpartum
- 2 recent references from Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor in the specialty
- Skills Checklist matching specialty
- Drivers license with address matching demographics
- Lactation certification preferred
- EMR experience with EPIC preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to postpartum patients, including those recovering from vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies as necessary.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
- Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and breastfeeding.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.

Compliance / Notes:
- Flu vaccine required during the season.
- Scrubs are provided.
- Orientation includes 3 days of hospital system-wide orientation and 3 days on the unit.
- Not required to be on-call, but may cover vacant shifts if needed.
