Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, a leading academic medical center within RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Neurologist to join our team in Newark, NJ. This full‑time clinical role focuses on both ambulatory and inpatient neurology care, with a strong emphasis on stroke care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Position Highlights

• Full‑time clinical neurology opportunity with a focus on inpatient and outpatient care
• Opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of neurologists and subspecialists
• Active participation in stroke care and Brain Attack Team (BAT) coverage
• Perform and interpret EMGs, EEGs, and nerve conduction studies (NCS)
• Involvement in multidisciplinary committees, protocol development, and quality initiatives

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders including:
  • Intracranial Hemorrhage, Encephalopathy, Demyelinating Disorders, and Status Epilepticus
  • Traumatic Brain Injury, Subarachnoid/Subdural Hemorrhage, and Neurological Infections
  • Post‑op Neurosurgical Recovery and Neurological Prognostication
• Assist in stroke program development and participate in stroke call rotation
• Educate patients, families, nursing staff, and residents on neurology care and treatment plans
• Participate in Joint Commission certification and performance improvement initiatives
• Contribute to the Stroke Advisory Committee and community education/outreach events

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neurology
• Eligible for New Jersey medical license
• EMG/NCS interpretation skills required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to patient‑centered, evidence‑based care

The anticipated salary range for this position, if hired to work, is $300,000 to $365,000 per year.
