Highlights The Department of Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained Cornea Specialist to join our growing academic team. This faculty position offers an exceptional opportunity to combine clinical excellence, teaching, and research in a collaborative and innovative environment. As a Cornea Specialist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, you will: Provide advanced medical and surgical care for corneal and external eye diseases Participate in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows in our robust training programs Engage in research initiatives tailored to your interests, with institutional support for academic advancement What’s New & Exciting A $100M, 165,000 sq. ft. standalone Eye Institute is opening in 2026 in Winston-Salem’s Innovation Quarter. The four-story facility will house all eye services, surgical suites, research, and clinical trials—supporting 100,000 patient visits annually. Why Wake Forest?
