DIETARY MANAGER

Dermott City Nursing Home in Dermott, AR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the dietary services. The ideal candidate will ensure that meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and meet the dietary needs of residents while complying with all health and safety regulations. This role involves managing kitchen staff, planning menus, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct dietary services including meal planning, preparation, and service. Manage and supervise dietary staff ensuring adherence to standards and schedules. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to food safety and sanitation. Develop and update menus that meet residents' special dietary needs and preferences. Order food and supplies and manage inventory to control costs effectively. Maintain accurate records of dietary operations and menu planning. Collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate patients' medical and therapeutic dietary requirements. Train dietary staff in proper food handling techniques and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a Dietary Manager or similar role in a healthcare or residential facility. Knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, and dietetic requirements. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to comply with dietary regulations and safety standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in nutrition or food service management a plus.
