The company will not sponsor employment visas for this role, either now or in the future.Job PurposeTo perform duties related to the implementation, management, maintenance, enhancement, support and decommission of critical software systems, whether purchased through a third party or developed internally. The Business Systems Analyst consults with stakeholders to gather and define requirements; assist with design and configuration of systems; implement new systems and/or enhance existing systems; write and execute test plans; troubleshoot and resolve system issues; deliver training and guidance to end users and system/service owners; develop and maintain system documentation; prepare robust reports to enhance strategic business decisions.Principle AccountabilitiesServe as first point of contact for business applicationsServe as a liaison between technical staff and user groupsEngage with internal teams to understand business requests, translate requirements into an analytical project approach, and support or lead projects through completionDetermines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirementsExamines current business procedures and recommends improvements and controls by identifying problems or vulnerabilitiesWork with internal/external customers to diagnose, review, and resolve incidentsInterpret information, ideas, and instructions and communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing (including materials intended for distribution)Identify and refer unresolved problems for resolution (internally or externally)Maintain records of system incidentsPrepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; develop and maintain documentation and standards (including SOPs, training guides, workflow diagrams, single-point lessons, etc)May update and maintain user accounts and manage various permissions based on approved requestsPerform data validation using various reports generated from systemsCreate and execute developed test plans to ensure desired results are achieved; support user acceptance testingProvide system demonstrations and end user trainingMaintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidentialParticipate in activities and research to maintain knowledge of industry developmentsCollaborate with JM IT to ensure that all digital activities are delivered in a secure, robust, and supportable way within the JM IT guiderailsSupport PGMS data strategy and data governance effortsIdentify opportunities for streamlining systems and processes to improve efficiencyEncourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by exampleOnsite roleSpecial FactorsTRAVEL – Potential domestic/international travelWORK ENVIRONMENT – office/chemical plantPHYSICAL DEMANDS – may need to lift up to 50 lbsRequirements for the Role:BS degree in Management Information Systems, Software/Systems/Computer Engineering, or any STEM fieldMinimum 2+ years' experience in information systems in a manufacturing environmentExperience with KBM/AS400, JDE, TrakSYS and/or other ERP systemsExperience with data visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and SQL is desirableProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Platform/Power Apps, Dynamics)Knowledge of computer network security protocols desirableProject Management experience desirablePersonal Skills and Key Competencies (including JM Behavioural Competencies)Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationHigh level of drive and enthusiasmAdaptable and flexible with positive, "can do" attitudeWillingness and ability to support, develop and train othersThink creatively and proactively propose solutions with an attention to detailStrong Health and Safety awarenessWhat We Offer:We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
