Sterile Processing Technician

The position requires rotating shifts of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Weekend call is required. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Duties include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and scope reprocessing. Basic cases include orthopedic, general, gynecological, and gastrointestinal procedures. Experience with common equipment for disinfection and sterilization is essential. The role does not permit self-scheduling, and there are holiday and call requirements. Response time for call is expected within 30 minutes. Client scrubs will be provided for daily dress code compliance. Unit and department-specific orientation will be conducted. No floating between departments is required.
