Moderate The facility is receiving a steady flow of submissions — a good time to get yours in Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring an active OH or Compact RN license and at least two years of pediatric ICU experience. Details Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a children's hospital setting 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Med-Surg units as needed Care for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, post-cardiac surgery, and post-cardiac catheterization needs Manage ventilated and tracheostomy patients, including airway suctioning and BiPAP/CPAP support Utilize hemodynamic monitoring, ECMO, and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD) as required Administer continuous sedation and IV vasopressors with accurate pediatric dosage calculations Perform Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and manage central and arterial lines Requirements Active OH State or Compact RN license required in hand Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience in a pediatric hospital required (hard requirement) 2 supervisory references required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor-titled reference Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and PICC line management preferred Familiarity with isolation precautions and proper PPE use required Additional Information Provide comprehensive critical care to pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular and respiratory needs Floating to other units is a strong expectation and point of emphasis for this facility Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the past 2 years No local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius of the facility Attendance policy is strictly enforced, with no-call/no-show incidents treated seriously First-time travelers may be considered if all experience and licensure requirements are met These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
