Location: Nashville, TN
Compensation: $37 - $50 per Hour (Experience dependent)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead plumbing operations for multifamily construction projects throughout the Nashville market. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules and materials, ensuring code compliance, and maintaining a safe and productive jobsite from underground through project completion.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on plumbing leader with construction experience who thrives in a fast-paced field environment and understands how to keep projects on schedule while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations & Project Execution

• Oversee daily plumbing operations on construction projects
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and field personnel
• Verify underground rough-in installations and layout accuracy
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Identify and resolve jobsite issues affecting production and project progress

Scheduling & Production

• Maintain project schedules and support on-time project completion
• Forecast labor, equipment, and material needs
• Coordinate material deliveries and manpower requirements
• Monitor productivity and implement solutions to maintain production goals
• Ensure top-out activities and plumbing milestones are achieved on schedule

Safety & Compliance

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and plumbing codes
• Proactively identify and address safety concerns

Communication & Coordination

• Participate in daily and weekly project meetings
• Collaborate with Project Managers, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and field records
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Plumbing Superintendent
• Experience managing plumbing operations on multifamily construction projects
• Strong knowledge of underground plumbing systems, sleeve layout, and top-out operations
• Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating field activities
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, installation practices, and jobsite safety
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic reporting
• Valid Driver's License
• OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Raken or similar field reporting software
• Experience using total station layout systems
• Experience managing multiple multifamily projects simultaneously
• Background with large-scale multifamily plumbing construction projects
