What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic diseases, collaborating with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Informing patients and families about preventive care, wellness plans, and disease management strategies
• Prescribing medications and treatment protocols within your scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic illness management
• Working across interdisciplinary teams to offer coordinated, comprehensive care
• Maintaining detailed and precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
