SAP Data Migration Engineer Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Data Migration Engineer Consultant based in the United States. This role is centered on enabling large-scale SAP transformation programs by ensuring accurate, secure, and well-governed migration of enterprise data into modern S/4HANA environments. You will be responsible for designing and executing end-to-end data migration strategies, working across extraction, transformation, validation, and cutover phases. The position requires strong hands-on expertise with SAP migration tools and a deep understanding of enterprise data structures and business processes. You will collaborate closely with functional teams, technical stakeholders, and business owners to ensure data integrity and alignment with system requirements. The environment is highly technical, detail-oriented, and project-driven, with a strong focus on precision, scalability, and compliance. This is a key role in ensuring successful enterprise system modernization and seamless data transition. \n Accountabilities: Design and execute SAP data migration strategies for S/4HANA implementations, including greenfield and conversion projects. Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading from legacy systems into SAP environments using standard and custom tools. Configure and manage SAP LTMC and related migration objects, ensuring accurate and efficient data loads. Implement and support SAP SLT replication scenarios, including transformation rules, filters, and real-time data movement configurations. Support system landscape management and refresh activities using SAP LVM and related tools. Develop validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of migrated data. Lead cutover activities including mock migrations, dress rehearsals, runbook execution, and post-migration validation. Collaborate with functional and business teams to align data structures with operational and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, audit, and regulatory standards across all migration activities. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering architecture, migration design, runbooks, and operational procedures. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration within enterprise-scale environments. Strong hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA migration tools, particularly LTMC and related frameworks. Experience with SAP SLT replication, transformation rules, and system configuration. Working knowledge of SAP LVM and landscape management activities. Strong understanding of SAP master and transactional data structures and dependencies. Proficiency in SQL and data analysis for validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting. Experience supporting full lifecycle SAP implementations, including cutover and production go-live phases. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and technical troubleshooting skills. Preferred: experience with SAP Data Services or other ETL tools, SAP HANA, and S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield projects. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
