Brightside Rx is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician – Intake & Prescription Processing to join our team in Santa Ana, CA.

This is a full-time, in-office position with a combination of pharmacy technician, prescription processing, and patient intake responsibilities . The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with technology, communicates professionally, and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Receive, enter, and process new prescriptions accurately
• Assist the pharmacist with filling and preparing prescriptions
• Perform patient intake and verify demographics, allergies, medical conditions, current medications, and other required information
• Contact patients to coordinate prescriptions and deliveries
• Order medications and pharmacy supplies
• Receive medication orders and maintain organized inventory
• Monitor inventory levels and medication expiration dates
• Process prescription refills and follow up on refill requests
• Review incoming prescriptions and referrals for missing or incomplete information
• Contact medical offices to obtain prescription clarifications or missing patient information
• Communicate with law firms and case managers to obtain necessary case and referral information
• Coordinate prescription shipping, delivery, and patient pickup
• Maintain accurate patient profiles, prescription records, and documentation
• Update patient and referral information in pharmacy and workflow systems
• Communicate professionally by phone, email, and fax with patients, medical providers, and law offices
• Assist with pharmacy billing and administrative documentation as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy work environment
• Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with additional pharmacy operations as needed

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, accurate, and comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities .

This position requires someone who can move comfortably between prescription processing, filling prescriptions, patient communication, medication ordering, computer work, and administrative follow-up throughout the day.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Active California Pharmacy Technician license
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Good typing skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to follow through on outstanding tasks without constant supervision
• Comfortable speaking with patients, medical offices, law firms, and case managers
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Previous pharmacy experience, including prescription data entry, filling prescriptions, medication ordering, inventory management, or patient intake, is preferred.

This position is 100% in-office in Santa Ana, California and is not a remote or hybrid position.
