Job Details Job Location: Southside Market and BBQ - Elgin, TX 78621Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: Road WarriorJob Category: FacilitiesUnder the direction of the Director of Facilities, this position is responsible for the daily maintenance of all the Restaurants, Commissary Kitchen and Plant as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Performs installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including wiring, circuit breakers, distribution panels, motors and control systems. Must be skilled in diagnosing and replacing electrical components such as contactors, relays, and transformers. Familiarity with three-phase power and low-voltage control circuits is required. 2. Performs repairs/replacements and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems such as drains, toilets, sinks, water heaters, boilers and water softeners and related equipment. Must be able to diagnose complex piping issues, install or repair valves, and ensure compliance with plumbing codes. 3. Independently supervise, troubleshoot and assist in repairs with HVAC, refrigeration and other mechanical systems in a food manufacturing environment. Must be proficient in maintaining and repairing commercial walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and specialized ventilation for wood-fired cooking equipment. Knowledge of temperature control systems and preventive maintenance protocols is essential. 4. Manage and maintain our facilities management software, including accurate logging of work orders, tracking parts and equipment, and producing detailed daily and weekly reports. 5. Supports ongoing comprehensive preventative maintenance plan, including scheduling regular inspections and upkeep for all critical systems. Coordinates with third-party contractors for specialized repairs, ensures work is completed to company standards and within budget. 6. Managing work orders daily with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime with minimal disruption 7. Ability to travel between multiple restaurants is required 8. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Degree from a vocational school preferred Any Facilities or Maintenance Certificates a plus 3 years of Maintenance Technician experience preferred preferably in Restaurant environment Experience supporting multi-unit / locations Strong knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, equipment, carpentry, electrical systems, etc. Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Working knowledge of blueprints, drawings, facilities machines and equipment Previous experience using a CMMS work order management system (Ecotrak) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding organizational skills Excellent problem-solving skills attention to details Food Handler Certification required. Language Skills Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job-related circumstances. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, he/she is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. He/she is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. He/she will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Temperature will vary from hot and humid to cold due to area of facility, in or outside of facility.
