Charge Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Position Overview: The OR - Operating Room Charge Nurse (RN) leads a clinical unit, coordinating departmental activities, staffing, and patient care to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervise and delegate patient care to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs based on patient needs and staff competencies. Coordinate scheduling, training, and orientation of staff, fostering staff development and team efficiency. Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional communication and customer service. Develop and implement plans to meet regulatory requirements and improve patient outcomes. Monitor patient care quality, assist with staffing decisions, and manage departmental operations. Address customer service issues, track performance, and take corrective actions as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Registered Nurse license in the state, with CPR, ACLS, and additional certifications per department specialization. Minimum of two years of relevant clinical nursing experience, with additional neonatal or specialty experience preferred. Effective interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills, capable of managing high-stress situations and implementing change. Educational requirements include a nursing degree from an accredited school; BSN and management experience are preferred. Specialized certifications in areas like bariatrics, wound care, or neonatal care are advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
