You'll be at the center of how money moves through our business. From owning merchant settlements, managing liquidity across our banking and custody network, and making sure payouts happen accurately and on time across every currency and entity we operate in.This is a hands-on role with real ownership and real-time decision-making. You'll position cash ahead of market opens, make critical funding decisions, execute wires and on-chain transfers under dual control, and jump in to investigate when a settlement doesn't land where it should.And you won't just run the operation, you'll help build what comes next. You'll take workflows that rely on spreadsheets and tribal knowledge and turn them into scalable, repeatable processes that can keep pace with a growing payments business.If you've worked in treasury or payment operations within payments, banking, fintech, or crypto and love moving fast, solving problems, and building better systems as you go, you'll feel right at home here.What You'll DoOwn merchant settlement setup and daily execution, including payout schedules, currencies, funding instructions, reserves, holdbacks, and bank detailsMonitor settlement activity end-to-end, resolving failed or delayed payouts, reconciliation breaks, statement discrepancies, and merchant inquiries in partnership with payment providersExecute and reconcile stablecoin settlements, including on/off-ramp conversions, wallet operations, custody movements, and on-chain activityOwn daily cash positioning and liquidity across multiple entities, countries, and currencies, managing prefunding thresholds and moving funds proactively to keep settlements on trackMaintain short-term cash forecasts and reporting that provides clear, real-time visibility into balances, settlement obligations, operating needs, and upcoming funding requirementsExecute FX trades, intercompany funding, wires, ACH, SEPA, and SWIFT payments with appropriate controls, documentation, and audit trailsManage day-to-day relationships with banking partners, sponsor banks, custodians, exchanges, and other financial partners while building scalable treasury processes and supporting new markets, accounts, and licensesWhat We're Looking ForBachelors Degree in Finance or related field5+ years of experience in financial, treasury, or payment operations within fintech, payments, banking, or regulated financial servicesDeep understanding of settlement operations, prefunding, payment cutoffs, liquidity management, and the day-to-day realities of moving moneyHands-on experience executing payments across multiple rails, including wire, ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, or local equivalents, within a controlled environmentExperience managing multi-currency and multi-entity operations, including FX execution, intercompany funding, cash positioning, and short-term forecastingStrong reconciliation instincts and advanced Excel skills, with confidence working through large, transaction-level datasets from processors or banking systemsBuilder mentality with a bias toward action—you're comfortable getting into the details, solving problems, and creating structure where a playbook doesn't yet existExcited to use AI, automation, and technology to improve workflows, reduce manual work, and build smarter, more scalable operationsNice to HaveExperience building financial operations at an early-stage or high-growth startupHands-on experience with stablecoin or crypto settlements, custody platforms, exchanges, or OTC counterpartiesFamiliarity with FBO account structures, safeguarding requirements, or money transmitter permissible investment rulesExperience with Modern Treasury, NetSuite, or similar treasury and payment operations platformsBigQuery or similar experience pulling, analyzing, and working directly with your own dataExperience establishing banking, payment, or custody relationships as part of launching into new marketsOur Compensation Philosophy!The annual base salary range for this role is $130,000-$160,000 in New York. This range represents the minimum and maximum annual base salary that Breeze, in good faith, expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
