Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide expert nursing care to cancer and hematology patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, administer treatments, and ensure compliance with clinical protocols to promote patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments following standard protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and manage adverse reactions during treatment sessions.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, side effects, and post-care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with relevant state or compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate).
• Strong knowledge of cancer diagnoses, treatment protocols, and hematology.
• Proficient in Epic electronic health record system.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
