Job Description
R&D Food Scientist for New Cibo Vita LLC (Totowa, NJ).
Develop new food product formulations and improve existing products for taste, texture, shelf life, and cost optimization. Conduct bench-top experiments, prototype development, and sensory evaluations. Collaborate with the production team to scale up formulations from lab to full-scale manufacturing. Conduct stability test and analyze results to ensure product performance over shelf life. Document formulations, processes, and test results in accordance with internal and regulatory standards. Research new ingredients, processing technologies, and industry trends. Support label development by ensuring compliance with regulatory and nutritional guidelines. Work with suppliers to evaluate and qualify raw materials and ingredients.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a closely related field, plus experience or academic training in food product development or food research. Experience or academic training must include the following: Food Chemistry; Food Biology; Shelf Life of Food; Food Engineering and Principles of Nutrition.
Salary: $74,200 - $85,000 per year. Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits; Life Insurance; 401K; Paid Time Off (PTO); Company paid holidays; Career advancement and training.
