Forklift Operator

This Forklift Operator role focuses on safely and efficiently operating a motorized forklift in a manufacturing and warehouse environment to move raw materials, finished products, and inventory. You will support production by loading and unloading trucks, transporting pallets to and from production lines, managing material flow using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The position requires consistent adherence to safety procedures, reliable attendance, and the physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate a motorized forklift safely and efficiently in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials and finished goods are handled accurately and safely.
• Transport pallets of raw materials and finished products to and from production lines and storage areas.
• Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system to manage material flow and track inventory movements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting all material movements and transactions in the system.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed to support continuous production.
• Clear finished goods from production areas promptly to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
• Perform basic forklift inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment remains in safe working condition.
• Troubleshoot minor forklift or material handling issues and escalate problems when necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company policies related to equipment operation and material handling.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area within the warehouse and production zones.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production operations.
• Stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required by daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

• At least 2+ years of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environment.
• Proven ability to safely operate a motorized forklift for loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
• Experience using an RF scanner for inventory tracking and material movement.
• Experience working with an ERP system to manage inventory and material flow.
• Strong attention to detail when handling materials and updating inventory records.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced setting.
• Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Side-by-side forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Manhattan is a plus.
• Comfort using warehouse technology, including WMS and RF scanning devices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and warehouse teams.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse facility that operates on a 2-3-2 rotating shift schedule. Shift A runs from 4:45 am to 5:00 pm, and Shift B runs from 4:45 pm to 5:00 am, providing structured and predictable scheduling. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The facility uses forklifts, RF scanners, and ERP/WMS systems to manage materials and inventory. The atmosphere is described as sports-like, emphasizing energy, teamwork, and performance. Dress code typically aligns with a manufacturing and warehouse setting, focusing on safety and practicality, including appropriate footwear and attire suitable for operating equipment and handling materials.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
