Staff Accountant

Job Description Job Description Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Support daily accounting activities across payables, receivables, and cash while ensuring accurate records. Perform bank, payable, and receivable reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed. Review and code credit card activity and assist with organizing supporting documentation. Help resolve open or aged items by assisting with backlog review and cleanup tasks. Maintain recurring monthly schedules and complete assigned accounting duties under the direction of senior accounting staff. Requirements: Strong technical ability and comfort working within payroll and HR systems. Ability to communicate clearly with employees, managers, and the external HR partner. Previous experience working with payroll routines for weekly and biweekly cycles. Capacity to learn company processes quickly and support both payroll and light accounting tasks. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with care. Qualifications: Prior payroll experience with a similar employee count or workload. Familiarity with Paycom or similar payroll systems. Previous experience in construction or a similar field. Background supporting accounting tasks such as payables, receivables, or entries. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently.
