Radiologic Technologist

Role Overview The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic x-ray procedures under supervision, utilizing radiography, fluoroscopy, portable diagnostics, and fluoroscopy to aid in patient diagnosis across all ages. Key Responsibilities Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures while practicing radiation safety. Use sterile techniques as required and demonstrate proper patient positioning and technical settings. Operate all diagnostic x-ray equipment and support systems such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and offsite radiologist services. Review patient history via computer systems, document studies accurately, and maintain patient confidentiality. Coordinate exams within the department and with other units, ensuring efficient and complete patient care. Communicate courteously with staff, patients, and families regarding scheduling and procedures. Maintain and disinfect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure supplies are stocked. Handle drug and biological administrations pertinent to the role following protocols. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current certification by ARRT. Valid State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer license.
