Key Responsibilities
- Build new molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment
- Repair and modify existing molds using CNC and manual machining equipment
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for repair and evaluation
- Review and interpret drawings and models
- Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other manual/CNC equipment
- Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges) to ensure tight tolerance machining and final fitting
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company and industry safety standards
- Perform other Tool Room-related duties as assigned
Must Haves
- Previous experience in mold making, repair, or modification
- Proficient in both CNC and manual machining processes
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and work with tight tolerances
