About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required certifications Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS Must-Have: Invasive cardiology scrub experience, monitor experience preferred Description: Position requires a minimum of 2 years working as a Cath Lab Tech. The unit has 125 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1. The staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. The equipment utilized includes GE core equipment. The documentation system used is Mac Lab and Meditech. The scheduling requirements are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30 and call every other week. Floating policy includes non-invasive, invasive, and interventional radiology. Experience with patient care preferred. Advanced skills required include multitasking, high-level communication, and a team approach. Procedures performed on the unit include Left Heart Catheterization, Right Heart Catheterization, and PCI. The facility operates as a 24-hour STEMI center. Implants performed include Loop Recorders, Pacemakers, and ICDs. Specialty equipment includes IABP, IMPELLA, OCT, IVUS, and FFR. Dress code requires red or black scrubs or hospital-laundered blue scrubs. The unit has received several recognitions including TJC Accreditation in multiple specialties and has achieved high employee engagement scores. The department is noted for outstanding performance and recognition in safety and work culture. New equipment and technology are frequently introduced, ensuring the team is well-equipped.
