FDH Aero – named a Best Places to Work in Aviation in 2024 – has locations in 14 countries across the globe, with more than 1,500 best-in-industry employees and over 650,000 square feet of inventory space.We Are Looking ForWe are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector II who will be responsible for the inspection of materials and end item parts through all stages from receipt through shipping, this includes the calibration of tools and equipment and keeping appropriate records. This role will ensure the maintenance of required specifications and paperwork as required by AIAP is also a responsibility of Quality Assurance. The Quality Inspector II will be in a warehouse environment for an aircraft hardware distribution facility. Routine work in the warehouse is performed. Desk work with computer activity is also required.What You'll Do (Responsibilities)Work with suppliers on rejected material and return the product if neededPerform inspection on products received from vendors, specifically aerospace fastenersUse gadgets such as micrometer screw gauges to measure productsPerform inspections at random to assess product qualityAccept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production teamRemove products that don't meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product qualityHold a high standard of quality for all products received, contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededRecommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processesEnsure company compliance with customer requirementsEnsure that part numbers are correct and accurate before adding them to the systemWhat You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):College degree or equivalent experience, requiredMust have 3-7 years experience in the aerospace industryMust have extensive knowledge of calibration/inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, ring gages, plug gages, and radius gages)Must be able to read blueprints, diagrams, multitask and have some Computer skillsMust be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programsUtilize Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, and WordHave a good working knowledge of aircraft fastenersQuality orientation and high attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience working with high-performance teamsSpecial Requirements:U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.ITAR requirement120.15.
