Job Details Location: Kuna, Idaho (Idaho State Correctional Center) Position Type: Full‑Time Education Level: High School Diploma or GED Travel Percentage: None Job Category: Behavioral Health Professional & Support Pay Rate: $19–$23 per hour, depending on experience Shift: 4‑hour, 10‑hour Day Shift – Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm Responsibilities The Psychiatric Technician, as part of the mental health team, will led daily activities with patients including proper hygiene, social skills, and recreational activities within the Acute Mental Health Unit. They will monitor, model, and teach effective behaviors to improve patients’ lives and work within a multidisciplinary team. The Psychiatric Technician will document and inform appropriate staff of significant changes in patients’ functioning and will assist in facilitating group therapeutic sessions and psychoeducational groups. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social sciences (e.g., psychology, social work, or counseling) or related field preferred. Experience working in a correctional mental health setting preferred. Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
