Classroom Facilitator

Classroom Facilitator PEACE Academy Charter works to promote educational and cultural empowerment for all of our students to ensure they are mastering or exceeding in their grade level content areas. Our strong focus on academics and cultural identity supports us in being an inclusive school that is heavily grounded in community. We are seeking a dynamic Classroom Facilitator (Teacher) who can contribute to our school community in addition to supporting the learning and development of our students academically, culturally, and socio emotionally. While many schools call the lead classroom instructor a teacher, at PEACE to effectively orchestrate a liberatory learning experience, we must have quality staff who can facilitate the classroom learning. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree required Certification: Minimum of SRT4-Certification in Early Childhood Education or related field (P-5); OR Passed the GACE Program Admissions Assessment or have exemption eligibility AND passed the GACE in Early Childhood Education preferred Roles and Responsibilities Serve as lead instructor for classroom instruction Lead classroom culture steeped in anti-bias, anti-racist, and liberatory teaching practices Create, build, and implement a student-centered, problem-based curriculum to support students in mastering grade level content Implement instruction and assessment practices for a diverse group of students Demonstrate skill in data analysis; ability to extract meaningful insights from classroom, team or grade-level data Demonstrate a sound ability to create a positive learning environment that promotes positive student behavior using restorative practices Demonstrate the ability to embrace differentiated instructional approaches to learning Find and build opportunities for interdisciplinary connections across various subject levels Build and maintain relationships with students Engage in continuous professional development and shared learning with other professional staff Work collaboratively with a diverse group of school colleagues, parents, community members, and others to support and implement the goals of the school Participate fully in faculty and school-related meetings Supervise Field Experiences and other school program Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed Other duties as assigned by members of the leadership team. Experience Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students Identity-based professional development or coursework Experience with positive student behavior supports and interventions; restorative justice practices Demonstrated effectiveness in working with diverse groups of students, teachers, and families Experience in a charter school setting Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Demonstrated belief that all students can achieve high levels of academic achievement Demonstrated belief in the mission and vision of PEACE Academy Knowledge of strong pedagogical practices for classroom organization, planning, and effective execution of instruction Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand Ability to be flexible and adapt as needed between in-person and virtual learning environments Ability to work under pressure and meet outcomes #J-18808-Ljbffr Peace Academy Charter Inc
