The Contracts Administrator Intern is responsible for learning how to assist with preparing, reviewing, and tracking construction-related contracts. This role provides exposure to contract compliance requirements, contract management systems, and basic contract risk review within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Learn how contract risks are identified and mitigated.
• Support the contract lifecycle process by tracking approvals, modifications, and renewals within the contract management system.
• Assist with reviewing contract terms and identifying potential risks or concerns. Help support teams with contract documentation and compliance-related tasks during project execution
• Support teams in interpreting contract requirements and ensuring compliance throughout project execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field of study in process
• Some basic understanding of construction contracts
• Basic understanding of contract negotiation, procurement, and purchasing systems
• Basic understanding of Contract Management Systems
• Basic understanding of Adobe Professional
• Some customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to muti-task and basic decision-making skills.
• Self-starter who takes responsibility and achieves results
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience with construction contracts
• Some experience in contract negotiation, procurement, and purchasing systems
• Some experience in utilizing Contract Management Systems
• Some experience in Adobe Professional
• Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and build positive working relationships
• Understanding of contracting and procurement terminology, measures, concepts, principles and strategies

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to effectively communicate, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment

Working Conditions:

• The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate

• Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
