SUMMARY: Complete Care at Sheridan Commons is seeking a dedicated Restorative / Psychotropic Nurse (LPN / RN) to step into an impactful role. This position provides direct clinical care while spearheading and supervising the facility’s Restorative Nursing Program (RNP) and Psychotropic Management. Working closely with our clinical team, you will focus on maintaining resident function, preventing decline, and ensuring accurate documentation for Minimum Data Set (MDS) coding—all within a family-like environment built on extraordinary compassion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Restorative & MDS Leadership: Direct and supervise day-to-day RNP functions. Train nursing assistants on specific restorative techniques (ambulation, ROM, feeding) and audit clinical documentation for accurate MDS coding.

• Assessment & Care Planning: Collaborate with therapy and physicians to identify residents for RNP services. Establish SMART goals and actively participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings.

• Clinical Supervision: Provide leadership to shift nursing personnel. Direct nursing assistants, plan daily shift assignments, and manage shift reports.

• Documentation & Orders: Complete medical records upon admission, transfer, or discharge. Transcribe physician orders accurately.

• Psychotropic Medication & Treatments: Prepare and administer medications and advanced treatments (IV care, tube feedings, catheterization, wound dressings) as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• License: Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN.

• Experience: At least 2 years as a Restorative Nurse Required

• Prior experience in Long-Term Care required; MDS/Restorative experience and psychotropic management highly preferred.

• Certifications: Current CPR Certification required; RAC-CT certification is strongly preferred.

• Skills: Strong clinical decision-making skills and a deep understanding of long-term care regulations.
