Skypark Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing outpatient orthopedic clinic in Torrance. You’ll deliver evidence-based care under PT plans of care while working with a close-knit team that values clear communication, professional growth, and an exceptional patient experience.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. You’ll be paired with a named supervising PT for weekly one-on-one case review during your first six months, with a structured 30/60/90-day caseload ramp — mentoring time is paid and protected.
Compensation The hourly range is $36–$42 , depending on experience. We use a written rubric for placement within the range and share it during the interview, so the number isn’t a mystery or a negotiation contest.

The $5,000 student-loan / education benefit is paid in four $1,250 installments at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months — giving you meaningful support during the first year instead of holding the full benefit until the end of year two.

Caseload and Schedule
• The target caseload is 14–16 completed visits per day
• New hires begin with a structured 30/60/90-day ramp, typically starting around 10–12 visits per day. As you become comfortable with the clinic flow, your schedule gradually builds toward the target range using staggered 45-minute treatment blocks with two patients scheduled at the same start time. For example, when two patients are scheduled at 8:00 AM, one begins with the PTA while the other works through therapist-directed exercises with a trained aide; they switch midway through the 45-minute visit. This gives each patient focused time with the PTA plus supported exercise time—rather than requiring the PTA to treat two patients simultaneously.
• You’ll have a standing weekly one-on-one with your supervising PT during work hours for the first six months, and longer if it remains useful.
• Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM . (flexible to change according to other commitments you may have)
• We use AI-assisted documentation tools, and documentation time is part of the workday. The goal is that notes are finished before you leave.
• Front desk and billing staff handle scheduling, insurance verification, and authorizations; PTs and trained aides support clinical flow.

About the Clinic
We’re a therapist-owned clinic with a small team of physical therapists, PTAs, aides, and dedicated front desk staff. The caseload is general outpatient orthopedics with steady referral volume — post-surgical patients, athletes, and active older adults — so you’d be busy from the start rather than building a schedule from zero. We’re planning a second location; this role is an addition to the team, not a backfill, with room to grow as the practice expands.

What the Job Involves
• Delivering individualized, evidence-based interventions under each supervising PT’s plan of care.
• Managing an assigned outpatient orthopedic caseload and communicating patient response and progress to the supervising PT.
• Keeping documentation accurate, timely, and payer-compliant.
• Collaborating with PTs, aides, front desk staff, patients, and families to support continuity of care.
• Participating in team meetings and in-services and contributing ideas that improve care and clinic flow.

Qualifications
• Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• California PTA license, active or pending. New grads are welcome to apply before licensure comes through.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience and Spanish are both helpful but not required.
