About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of promoting equity, social justice, and the empowerment of women and girls. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of organizational operations, including strategic planning, fundraising, program development, financial management, advocacy, and staff leadership. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive the organization's strategic plan, ensure long-term sustainability, and foster a culture of equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement. The CEO will also serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate, building and strengthening community partnerships to advance the mission. Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree or equivalent executive experience being welcomed. A strong commitment to racial equity, gender justice, and the empowerment of marginalized communities is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fund development, strong financial acumen, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in nonprofit management, particularly in executive or senior leadership roles, is strongly preferred. The role requires the ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change, and experience with board governance and effective board-staff relationships. Familiarity with the local region and experience in community programming, particularly in health and wellness or aquatics, is a plus.
