Autism Psychology Fellow

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of Assistant Program Manager, the Autism Psychology Fellow will provide clinical services, including assessments of children and adolescents referred for suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, the Autism Psychology Fellow will develop telehealth-based assessments for residents of Hawaiʻi’s rural and underserved communities.

Location: MUST RESIDE in Hawaii, 100% Remote.

This is a part time position, 20 hours per week. Monday & Friday 8am-4pm.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

Clinical/Office:

• Provide clinical services, primarily the assessment of children and adolescents referred for suspected Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

• Develop telehealth-based assessments for residents of Hawaiʻi’s rural and underserved communities.

• To function as a clinical faculty member and clinical supervisor for the Pili Ola Behavioral Health Training Program.

• Assist with tracking and reporting outcomes to funders.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training

Minimum:

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited college or university or equivalent; eligible for license to practice in the state of Hawaiʻi.

• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with other faculty members, investigators, biostatisticians, students and/or assistants.

• At least one (1) year prior experience in assessment of children and adolescents.

• One (1) year of experience implementing culturally-based interventions with Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations.

Preferred:

• Experience working with diverse ethnic populations.

• Demonstrated ability to teach behavioral health students.

• 2 or more years of experience working with Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations.

Skills Knowledge

Minimum:

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Comfortable using various forms of information and communication technology.
