IT Manager SAP Finance

Job Overview Title: IT Manager SAP Finance – Technical Product Owner (Enterprise Ledger) Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States Duration: 2-year temporary role. Key Responsibilities Strategic Direction: Define and drive finance technology product strategy for SAP S/4HANA Finance (Finance & Controlling) and SAP Central Finance, translating business objectives into product roadmaps. Team Leadership: Lead a global team of external and internal finance technology professionals; act as people manager and capacity planner. Product Management: Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of SAP financial products, reviewing user stories, functional specifications, technical specs, and coordinating development activities. Solution Design & Architecture: Partner with finance architecture teams; design solutions incorporating experimentation, human‑centered design, agile principles, and compliance. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with SAP and other technology vendors, influencing roadmaps and ensuring delivery of required capabilities. Value Realization: Define performance indicators and track the business value of technology investments, reporting progress to senior stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as trusted advisor to senior finance & technology leaders across all product lifecycles, facilitating workshops and communicating strategic goals. Compliance & Governance: Apply regulatory requirements and maintain documentation and audit readiness. Required Technical Expertise S/4 HANA Finance (Account-to-Report), Asset Management, Internal Order, WBS accounting. Data strategy, governance, and process definition. Financial Accounting, Reporting, Close optimization, Continuous Accounting. Preferred Technical Skills SAP Central Finance Supply Chain, Invoice‑to‑Cash (I2C), Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Treasury. Master Data Management, ABAP knowledge, Cloud infrastructure. Qualifications 7+ years preferred of managing technical and/or finance teams; strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 5+ years functional experience with SAP ECC6 FI/CO, SAP S/4HANA Finance, and/or SAP Central Finance. A/B. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or MBA preferred. Strong financial accounting knowledge.
