About Instead Instead is reinventing tax technology. We are the first company in decades to receive IRS approval to e-file for Individuals, C Corps, S Corps, Partnerships, and Estates & Trusts. Our platform empowers tax professionals with AI-driven workflows, automated compliance, and seamless integrations. About the Role Join Instead as a Software Engineering Intern and work alongside our core engineering team in San Francisco. You will contribute to production features, learn from experienced engineers, and gain hands‑on experience building the future of tax technology. What You Will Do Build and ship features across our full‑stack platform (Vue.js/Nuxt frontend, Go backend) Collaborate with product, design, and tax domain experts Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and engineering discussions Work on real projects that impact thousands of tax professionals What We Are Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Familiarity with web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) Exposure to backend development (Go, Python, or similar) Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn Ability to work onsite in San Francisco #J-18808-Ljbffr Dormont Manufacturing Co
