Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry / Stepdown

Schedule: 3x12-hour nights

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Skills in IV start, central line care/management, heparin protocols, insulin drips/protocols
- Proficient with high-flow nasal cannula and heated high-flow O2
- Experience with cardiac drips (initiate, then transfer to ICU if escalation needed)
- EPIC charting experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and telemetry data, identifying changes in patient status
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies according to protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Assist in patient education regarding health conditions and post-discharge planning

Compliance / Notes:
- Candidates must complete fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
- RTO (Request Time Off) required with submission
- Two professional references required, including one manager/director or formal supervisor
- Valid compact or state RN license required at time of submission
- Orientation consists of 36 hours
