Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information. This position is responsible for managing critical aspects of the monthly close process, preparing financial analyses, maintaining internal controls, and supporting financial reporting requirements. Working closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams, the Senior Accountant helps drive operational excellence through process improvements, data analysis, and sound accounting practices. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement. Prepare, review, and record complex journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through detailed account analysis and reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules Analyze financial results and investigate significant fluctuations, trends, and variances Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies Month-End & Year-End Close Lead key components of the monthly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies through detailed research and analysis Coordinate close-related activities across departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data Support the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and financial statement disclosures Financial Analysis & Planning Support Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful insights into operating results and financial performance Develop financial reports and dashboards to support management decision‑making Evaluate financial trends and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain and enhance internal control processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies Assist with external audits and other compliance‑related activities Monitor accounting processes and recommend improvements that strengthen controls and reduce risk Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures that promote consistency and accuracy Process Improvement & Business Partnership Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve reporting efficiency Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects Partner with operational and administrative departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity Provide accounting guidance and support to internal stakeholders on financial matters and reporting requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
