Position: Med/Surg Tele RN

Location: Cleveland, OH

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will work rotating 12-hour shifts in both day and night schedules, with the flexibility to float to various units as needed.

Position Details

• Shift Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, either day (07:00 - 19:30) or night (19:00 - 07:30)
• Duration: 20 weeks, with a potential to accept 13-week assignments
• Floating Requirements: Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the medical/surgical specialty. Recent Med/Surg Tele experience is required; travel experience is acceptable.
• Licensure: Must possess a permanent Ohio RN license or a compact state license at the time of application.
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. All certifications must be active when applying.
• Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work at least every other holiday.

Skills Assessment

During orientation, travelers will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment. An acceptable score on both assessments is mandatory for continued employment.

Additional Information

• Travelers: Must submit references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty being applied for, with no co-worker references accepted. References must come from assignments worked in the past 12 months.
• Drug Screening: A negative 10-panel drug screen (including nicotine) is required within 12 months of starting the assignment.
• Background Checks: Any background hits will be reviewed by the facility. Candidates will not be accepted with an open case or any license-related hits.
• Nicotine Policy: Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are currently exempt from the nicotine-free requirement.

Contract Duration and Extensions

Travelers may be assigned for up to 18 months, with a requirement of a 6-month break before returning, unless otherwise approved.

Modules and Training

All travelers must complete a series of modules prior to starting. Four hours of module training is billable, while any additional required training time is non-billable. Average time for modules ranges from 6 to 15 hours and must be completed annually.
