Daycare Assistant Essential Job Functions
- Help establish and enforce best practices for daycare center
- Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with the implementation of education during all classroom activities
- Assist with the planning of nutritious meals for students
- Carry out required emergency drills
- Work with Child Development teacher and students to develop a curriculium for daycare children
- Other duties as assigned by Daycare Director and/or Principal
Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers. Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
- Works in standard office and school building environments.
- Ability to work outdoors during outdoor child activities.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a daycare setting
- At least 21 years of age as well as CPR and First Aid Certified
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
