Quality and Employee Performance Lead

Position Summary Full Time position that provides services related to safety, health, work methods, and training. This will include extensive field visits with crews, identifying areas requiring training, conducting training in on-the-job settings or in other facilities, and evaluating performance in simulated and actual environments. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience and subject matter expertise related to training, safety, and quality control. Essential Functions Visit crews in the field and observe, train, and teach safety, quality, and work methods. Identify areas that need further focus, and develops, schedules and presents training materials on those areas. Identify crews that need further training on safety, quality, and work methods. Works with Area Supervisor to develop plan to train and address crew deficiencies. Present Safety, Work Methods, and Quality Training Courses. Evaluate employee and driver performance. Conduct program level audits of EHS programs. Recognize problems and respond, systematically gather information, sort through complex issues, seek input from others, address root cause of issues, make timely decisions, can make difficult decisions, use consensus when possible, communicate decisions to others. Lead through change and diversity, make the tough call when needed, build consensus when appropriate, motivate and encourage others. Provide feedback and coaching, in a mentoring role, challenge and develop employees, accept mistakes, provide feedback and visibility for growth and development. Target and achieve results, set challenging goals, prioritize tasks, overcome obstacles, accept accountability. Communicate well both verbally and in writing, create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, share information and ideas with others, have good listening skills. Other Requirements Must have commercial drivers’ license with Intrastate Certified OSHA Authorized Outreach Instructor, Preferred Certified CSP, CHST, CUSP, CET, Preferred 4-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience Must be able to work a flexible shift Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc. Able to speak effectively before groups of people Able to type out routine reports and correspondence Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions Able to deal with a large diverse groups Skilled in the use of computers, adapts to new technology, keeps abreast of changes, learns new programs quickly, uses computers to improve productivity. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work). The employee may be subject to one or more of the following atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
